About Us

Stuart Timber was formed in 1980 by Campbell Stuart and 4 of his 5 sons. The business is now owned and operated by the youngest son Roger.

We employ 30 full time staff turning high quality southland grown radiata pine logs in to a range of finished products and placing them in a range of local and export markets.

The rural market is also well catered for with good quality fence posts and poles along with any timber product the farmer might want, from tree stakes to bridge decking and everything in between.

There is a strong emphasis on supplying value for money and assurance of customer satisfaction when dealing with our helpful staff.

We have good facilities at out Tapanui site in West Otago, including kilns, planers, docking saws and a timber treatment plant.
