ColourPine
ColourPine is an exciting new product that enhances
outdoor items like decks and pergolas. A fine pigment dye is forced into
the timber under pressure which means the colour will last. A product
from a sustainable resource that looks like a hardwood with all the
benefits of a softwood. Durable, easy to work with and cost effective.
Looks Great - ColourPine - "The colour is in the wood."
- Stuart Timber is using a colouring process
called MicroShade® developed
in the US by Osmose, a timber preservative company supplying the NZ
market.
- MicroShade® iron oxide is
impregnated into treated radiata pine using the same vacuum /
pressure process as CCA preservative, H3.2, H4, H5, & H6
- Low Maintenance, because the colour is in the
wood it requires no ongoing staining.
- MicroShade® colouring
system combines the even colour and penetrating qualities of a dye
with the long lasting colour of a pigment.
- ColourPine is a sustainable and attractive
alternative to threatened species such as Kwila and Balau.
- ColourPine is very cost effective and less
expensive than imported hardwoods. Radiata pine is easy to work with
and readily available. Stuart Timber ColourPine
will hold its colour without fading so will look good for years to
come.
- As ColourPine is a natural timber product it is
recommended that an application of nourishing oil is applied every
few years.
